Stephen has been involved in numerous high profile turnarounds and in business building over 35+ years across private and public sectors in Ireland, the UK and across Europe. He has a proven track record of supporting organisations through strategic pivots and complex operational change while protecting value and building stakeholder trust. As well as working for large corporates, Stephen has established start-up ventures. He brings extensive experience in managing relationships with private and institutional funders and in designing and operationalising effective and proportionate governance arrangements.

Stephen has served as Chief Risk Officer, Chair of Risk Committees, Independent Non-Executive Director, Managing Director and Chief Executive across organisations ranging from early-stage ventures to global corporates and public agencies. His experience spans rebuilding institutions from the ground up, securing regulatory authorisations, executing strategic wind-downs, and leading large-scale turnaround programmes involving billions in distressed assets.

He is recognised for aligning regulatory, commercial and societal objectives in complex stakeholder environments, and for helping organisations convert risk into resilience and pressure into long-term progress.
Stephen holds a BA (Hons) in Economics & Econometrics, a Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Business (Distinction), is a Certified Bank Director and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. He is also a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on AI.
