Eamon Farrell co-founded Irish Flexible Packaging (IFP) in Carnew, County Wicklow, in 1992. As Managing Director, he developed the company into a leading specialist manufacturer of flexible food-packaging products, including aluminium foil and waxed paper, serving customers across Ireland and the UK.

Before establishing IFP, Eamon gained more than a decade of experience in aluminium conversion, working across both container and flexible-packaging applications. He also spent eight years manufacturing products for the healthcare sector. Eamon is a mechanical engineer and a member of the Institute of Packaging.

In February 2019, a majority interest in IFP was acquired by IFP Investments Limited, an investment company co-founded by Eamon and Barry O’Brien. Eamon reinvested in the business and remained actively involved as a board director. IFP Investments subsequently acquired Fispak Limited, broadening the group’s product range and manufacturing capabilities.

In October 2021, Irish Flexible Packaging and Fispak were acquired by ProAmpac, giving both businesses access to the resources and international reach of a global flexible-packaging group.

Eamon subsequently co-founded Packaging Holdings, where he serves as a director. He brings extensive experience as an engineer, manufacturer, business founder and investor, with particular expertise in operational improvement, business consolidation and the development of sustainable packaging solutions.
