Eamon's Story
Eamon Farrell is the co-founder of Irish Flexible Packaging (IFP), established in 1991 in Carnew, County Wicklow, Ireland. Serving as Managing Director, he led the company to become a leading supplier of aluminum foil and wax paper flexible food packaging in Ireland and the UK.

Before founding IFP, Farrell accumulated over a decade of experience in the aluminum-converting field, working with both containers and flexible packaging. He also spent eight years manufacturing products for the healthcare industry. Farrell is a mechanical engineer and a member of the Institute of Packaging.

In February 2019, Farrell partnered with IFP Investments Limited to support the company's growth and strategic direction. This collaboration led to the acquisition of Fispak Limited, enhancing IFP's product offerings. However, the COVID-19 pandemic presented challenges, particularly concerning the supply and cost of raw materials like aluminum and paper. To navigate these issues and secure the company's future, Farrell explored partnerships with larger entities.

In October 2021, IFP was acquired by ProAmpac, a global flexible packaging company. This merger positioned IFP to better compete in the global market, leveraging ProAmpac's extensive resources and expertise. Farrell expressed satisfaction with this decision, noting positive outcomes for the company and its stakeholders.

Beyond IFP, Farrell is involved with Packaging Holdings, serving as a director. His professional background reflects a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability in the packaging industry
