Pat has more than 40 years of experience in the packaging industry. In 1998, he co-founded Ace Corrugated with Paul Doyle to supply high-quality corrugated packaging solutions to small and medium-sized businesses.

Profitable from the outset, Ace continued to invest in modern, efficient plant and machinery while expanding its manufacturing capabilities. More recently, the company broadened its range of sustainable and recyclable packaging products in response to changing customer requirements and growing environmental awareness.

In 2023, Ace Corrugated was acquired by Packaging Holdings, a sustainable packaging group co-founded by Barry O’Brien and Eamon Farrell. Packaging Holdings now comprises ten established businesses across Ireland and the UK, with combined annual revenue exceeding €60 million.

Following the acquisition, Pat reinvested in Packaging Holdings, became a shareholder and joined its board. He continues to contribute his extensive packaging-sector knowledge, operational experience and commercial expertise to the group’s development.
