Whycliffe “Dave” Cameron is a Jamaican business leader, investor and sports administrator with more than two decades of experience in financial services and corporate leadership. He served as President of the West Indies Cricket Board, now Cricket West Indies, from 2013 to 2019.

Dave Cameron has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, investment management and corporate leadership. He began his career with Dehring, Bunting & Golding in 1995 and was appointed Vice President of Treasury, Trading and Asset Management at Manufacturers Merchant Bank Limited in 2003. In this role, he oversaw assets under management exceeding J$21 billion and shareholders’ equity of more than J$1 billion.

 

From 2010 to 2013, Dave held a senior role with Sterling Asset Management Limited, where he helped the firm double its capital and supported the launch of Sterling Investments Limited, which is listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.

 

Dave joined the West Indies Cricket Board in 2002 and served in several leadership positions before becoming President in 2013. During his presidency, the organisation’s financial position improved from an accumulated deficit of US$5.8 million to an accumulated surplus of US$1.5 million by September 2017. West Indies teams also secured three major international championship titles during 2016.

 

His expertise includes negotiation, financial management, business planning, operational leadership and sports administration. Dave holds an MSc in Computer-Based Management Information Systems and a BSc in Hotel and Tourism Management from The University of the West Indies.
